(We strongly recommend down jacket or windbreaker and fleece jacket for an outerwear and layered clothing to accommodate this fluctuation of temperature during this season)

*In case of snow and icy road, we offer a guided town walk through the Hida Furukawa town where you can enjoy the picturesque townscape and living culture of the town.

  1. *1: A daypack or a shoulder bag… We have no basket on bicycle.
  2. *2: Gloves … These are highly recommended as the wind chill factor will make the ride feel colder.
  3. *3: Gloves(Summer)… These are recommended to prevent hand injuries.

SNOWSHOEING

What to wear What to bring
  • Ski or snowboard jacket & pants is recommended
  • Multilayered clothing is recommended to adjust your body temperature by putting on or taking off layers of clothing. It is better to wear quick-dry clothing on the skin, such as synthetic one. As an outer layer, a rain jacket and pants are a good choice to protect you from rain and wind.
  • You need a pair of hiking high-cut boots( warterproof)/ waterproof snow boots to keep your feet warm. Also, we recommend you to bring another pair of shoes just in case your shoes get wet ( Limited number and size of rental boots are available.)
  • Daypack or a shoulder bag
  • Gloves (Thick & warm gloves, ex:ski gloves)
  • Beanies and neck warmer
  • Sunglasses
  • Sunscreen
  • Hot drink (If you need)

Notes

  • We conduct all of our tours rain/snow or shine. In case of rain or snow, we will provide rain suits.
  • If we decide to cancel our tour in advance due to the adverse weather conditions, we will inform you via email by 19:00 a day before the tour. Please check your email before you come. If you have any concerns about the tour, please contact us directly. Please note that we may cancel on the day of the tour (even during the tour) for safety reasons due to the sudden weather change.
