Enjoy TakayamaEnjoy morning bath and go to Takayama.(1h) Hida Takayama in the northern part of Gifu Prefecture is a castle town surrended by mountains. Takayama is best known for its carpenters, who worked on the imperial palace in Kyoto and on many of the temples in Nara. Like a few cities, Takayama has retained is full atmosphere of the Edo period thanks to its preserved old districts, temples, shrines, antique shops and sake breweries. (Overnight in Takayama) |

Noto PeninsulaThe Noto Peninsula is extending north and south.The northern part of the peninsula is called Oku-Noto, whose center is Wajima, noted for its production of a traditional Japanese handicraft, Wajima-nuri lacquerware. Along the north coast, there are a few traditional salt farms in practice and you can experience how to make salt by seawater.Another must-see is Senmaida (means thousands of rice field), which is one of the most beautiful rice terrace in Japan located along the Japan sea.
