Onsen Ryokan Experience 3nights/4days

Suggestions for those who would like to explore the hidden gems of Hida…

This package offers one night stay at authentic Onsen Ryokan in addition to “Most Popular” Plan. Enjoy a relaxing ryokan experience at one of the best hidden onsen resorts in Japan.

Deep within the mountains behind Takayama is the Okuhida Onsen-go. Located just an hour bus ride from Takayama, Okuhida-onsen is a serie of small onsen towns which houses some of the best ryokans in the Hida area. The true beauty of this area lies in the gorgeous settings of its outdoor baths. Enjoy the scenery of the majestic mountains, hear the nearby stream, and breathe in the crisp fresh air while soaking in these outdoor baths full of minerals and nutrients leaving your skin smooth and healthy looking.

Most of the onsen in Okuhida-Onsen-go is “Gensen Kakenagashi” which means it coes directly from the source of the hot springs without any additives, filtering, or treatment and it is only possible when the tub is close to the hot springs source. It is 100% natural and may be considered as the best onsen water we can get.

Walking and hiking trails are available because this area is close to some of the most popular trails in Japan.

It is possible to do a daytrip to a public onsen in Okuhida Onsen. However, we highly recommend staying overnight and experience a night at a ryokan in the area.
