Discover Traditional Life in Hida area 4nights/5days

If you like to touch the Japanese life dating back to the olden times, we recommend this itinerary. You will see a beautiful nostalgic landscape of Minka (old folk houses) dotted in vast rice fields and you may have a chance to talk to locals by staying small village or joining the cycling tour.

Highlights

  • Okuhida: one of the most remarkable Onsen (hot spring) villages. You can enjoy open-air bath while listening to the murmur of the river. Stay in one of the best Ryokan in the area.
  • Hida Satoyama Cycling: Casual bike ride through the Japanese countryside, Satoyama, and meet locals
  • A small local village stay: You can experience making Soba noodles and relax in the REAL countryside. * small village stay may not be available from Apr.2017. Contact us for details.
  • Shirakawa-go/Gokayama : You will be inspired by traditional wooden architectures “Gassho-zukuri” which only exist in this snowy area.
